Rudolph Means Obituary

Mr. Rudolph Blanton Means passed away at the age of 77 on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Rudolph was born on April 14, 1941 to Oscar and Mary Means in Rose City, Texas.

Rudolph worked as a welder for 20 plus years. He loved to fish, cook and of course, eat! One of specialties was an amazing salsa that everyone loved. When he wasn’t cooking or fishing he would spend time with his family, he had a blast playing games with them like, 42, Texas Hold’em, and washers. If there was good tune on, especially Zydeco or ‘50’s music, Rudolph would show off his dancing skills and he was good.

Rudolph is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Means; his parents Oscar and Mary Means; a son Mark Means and two sisters, Sylvia Williams and Virginia “Ginny” Smith.

Left to honor his memory are his children and their spouses; daughters Sonya Johnston, Theresa Winter, Brenda Gardner, Veronica Placker and Cassidy Northern; and son, Ricky Means. Brother Robert Means and sisters, Jo Evelyn Brown and Linda LeBouef. Plus 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many loved ones.

A life honoring memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Forest Oaks Chapel.
