Robert Earl Bryan Obituary

Mr. Robert Earl Bryan, 88, of Zavala, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at his home in the Boykin Community. Robert was born one of four boys on June 2, 1933, in White City of San Augustine County, TX to Earl Bryan and Ettie (Lakey) Bryan. Robert was raised in the wilds of Southeast Texas and grew up loving hunting and fishing like so many Southeast Texans do. A truly kind man, Robert was always a hard worker; a man of true integrity who didn’t whine or complain and was always willing to do whatever it took to take care of those he loved the most. This family man provided for his three boys working as a welder and mill wright and never failed to find the time to do the things in life that really mattered- like teaching his boys to hunt and fish like he did. Dedicated to his boys and a second father to his daughters-in-law, Robert was also known as "PawPaw" and ready to spoil his grandbabies too! A man of faith, Robert lived his life as many strive to, setting an example for his sons and always doing what he knew to be best. Patient and direct, this loving and exemplary example of a man leaves a void here in this world and will not soon be forgotten.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons and daughter in laws, David and Lana Bryan, Russell and Janice Bryan of the Boykin Community, TX; his grandchildren, Jason Bryan, Glenn Bryan, Earl Bryan, Kayla Bryan, Christy Murphy, and Brandy Zachary; his 15 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Rowinsky, Zachary Bryan, Madison Bryan, Peyton Bryan, Carson Bryan, Whitley Bryan, Tessa Bryan, Lydia Bryan, Embree Bryan, Eretria Bryan, Nakona Bryan, Kylie Beldin, Molly Beldin, Ethan Zachary, and Gracie Zachary; 5 great-great-grandchildren, Sophie Rowinsky, Stetson Bryan, Blakely Bryan, Everleigh Carrell, and Brody Carrell; his brother, Larry Bryan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wives: Lou Howard Bryan, Georgia Johnson Bryan, and Ruthie Nash Bryan; his son, Terry Bryan; his parents, Earl and Ettie Bryan; and his brothers, Eugene and Buford Bryan.
