Born in St Louis, MO to William "Bill" Mathis, and Marybelle Mathis
She was preceded in death by her brother, Micheal Mathis: father, Bill Mathis: mother, Marybelle Mathis: and husband of 40 years, David H. Shirley.
Ms. Shirley worked as a RN in Southeast Texas for over 4 decades, and was passionate about her work.
She is survived by daughters Kathy White, and husband Larry of Port Arthur, TX, Ann Glenn and husband Kenneth of Brookeland TX; son David Shirley and wife Tara of Jasper, TX: sister, Jan Donley and husband Richard of Beaumont, TX: grandchildren: Randall Glenn, and wife Harley, Hannah Martin, and husband Cody, John Glenn, Garreth Smith, Kelli Smith, Langston Davis, Nocona Bertrand and great grandchildren Lyla, Lezley, Brate, Thomas, and Jensen.
