Mrs. Jessie Bitha Bohler, 91, of Herne, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Bryan, TX. Jessie was born April 18, 1930, in Colmesneil, TX to Bitha Conner Rawls and Robert Jesse Rawls and was one of eight children. Jessie was a southern woman to her core and lived a life devoted to her family. After completing the 8th grade at Hollyfork School, Jessie would eventually meet the love of her life- Jesse J. Bohler. The two were wed on June 18, 1945, in Woodville, TX; Jesse and Jessie built a life of love and family with five children of their own over the course of their 55 years of marriage. After her beloved husband passed in 2001, Jessie found solace in her growing family. The matriarch of her family, Jessie was the ever-present mother and grandmother who could always be depended on. It is with heavy hearts that her family wishes her peace and joy as Jessie is reunited with her love, leaving behind many friends and her beloved family to carry on her legacy of love and family.
Left to carry this legacy are her children: Richard Bohler and wife Ginger of Franklin, TX, Frank Bohler and wife Audrey of Phoenix, AZ, Larry Bohler and wife Carolyn of Hill Top Lakes, TX, Glenda Bohler of Hearne, TX, and Terry Bohler and wife Angie of Bryan, TX; her sister, Treba Bonner; her brothers: John Lewis and Edgar Lewis; her 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and extended family throughout the years.
Jessie is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Bohler; her parents, Bitha and Robert; her sisters: Dixie Bohler, Gene Owens, and Sue McCloud; and her brother, Pete Rawls.
To honor Jessie’s life and legacy, a graveside service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:30 PM at Farrell Cemetery in Colmesneil, TX where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
