Doris Pauline (Ellis) McDaniel

Doris Pauline Ellis McDaniel passed away at 80 years of age at her home in Jasper Tx. On Tuesday, January 19th 2021. She was born May 16th, 1940 in Sparkman, Arkansas to her parents Elbert John Ellis and Ethel Mabel Langley Ellis. Pauline was a bit of a tomboy but soon grew into a beautiful young woman. A determined young lady raised around strong-willed women.

She was intuitive and clever. She could fix just about anything to make it last.

It sometimes felt like you were living on the farm, because there wasn’t an animal she didn’t love or one she would not nurse back to health.

She was always putting her family’s needs above her own. From the miraculous way a little flour and a few items in the pantry became a meal for eight. Her love and sheer joy was seeing all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. From the oldest to the youngest she loved them all.

Pauline never minced words. You always knew where you stood and that you and that you were loved. A hard woman with a soft heart for her family. She came through so many trials in life from childhood to adulthood with the perspective that tomorrow will be as good as you make it.

Pauline’s smile and love will be missed by all.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, George B. McDaniel Jr. Her children, Bryan Edward McDaniel and wife Regina of Laporte, Tx. Debbi Sue McDaniel of Vidor, Tx. Connie Jo Caples and husband Mark of Jasper Tx. Gordon Koehl McDaniel and wife Joraine of Alvin Tx. Georgia Pauline McDaniel of Jasper Tx. Rev. Jon Paul McDaniel and wife Crystal of Friendswood Tx.

23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Pauline was proceeded in death by her parents Elbert Ellis and Ethel Langley Ellis. Her sons George Delane McDaniel and George Blandon McDaniel and great grandson Rylan McDaniel.

To honor Pauline, the family will have at time of visitation Monday, Jan 25th 2021 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Forest Oaks funeral Home, 601 W. Gibson St. Jasper, Tx. 75951. With a funeral service to follow at 11:30 am. Pauline will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oakdale. La. at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 26th 2021.
