Curtis Stroud

Curtis Monroe Stroud, age 92, passed away on June 2, 2019. He was born on January 11, 1927 in Lovelady, TX to George Wesley Stroud and Lula Bell.

A good man, Curtis would give you the shirt off his back, he would always be there for you, you could count on that. He loved to hunt and fish but taking care of his family gave him the most joy. He stayed too busy to get sick and seldom even got headaches. He was serious about his love for his family but would never pass up an opportunity to instigate an argument just to sit back and laugh while he watched on. Curtis was a proud Christian and he loved God deeply, his family finds peace knowing he is pain free and they will see him again.

Left to honor his memory is his loving wife, 0pal Dale Stroud; son, Curtis Stroud Jr, Shannon Dale Stroud and wife, Pam, Shawn Lee Stroud, Calvin Stroud and wife, Janet; daughters, Sharon Ann Stroud and husband, Robert, Stephanie Anne Flannigan and husband, John; grandchildren, Christy Stroud, Dillon Stroud, Micheal Stroud, Samantha Stroud, Nicole Stroud, Patricia Flannigan, Amanda Flannigan, Mary Lynn Flannigan, John Flannigan Jr, Patrick Dunlop and 8 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael Lynn Stroud.
