Carlton Joseph Billeaudeau, age 76, of Woodville, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. He was born in Mamou, LA, on August 16, 1947, to Evobe Billeaudeau and Stella LeDoux Billeaudeau.
Carl was raised and graduated from high school in Louisiana. Later, he joined the US Navy and served multiple tours in Vietnam. When he returned home, he became an Electrician and worked for J M Huber in Orange, TX. Carl loved to fish and cook both BBQ and Cajun. He would boil crawfish and tell you to “keep your spoon away” this is his pot. Trail rides was one of his hobbies and he had it all horses, mules, and covered wagons. He kind of went all out on that. Carl also had a very kind and helpful side, volunteering for Toys for Tots. He also had a way of giving you advice, even if you didn’t ask. Carl loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the little community around him; he would do anything for his neighbors. He will be greatly missed.
Left to honor his memory is his loving wife, Linda; sons, August Dwight Bodle and wife Sommer, David Bodle and wife Stephanie; sister Phillis Arceneaux and husband Gene; grandchildren, Eric, Chris, Aiden, Coleman and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Jon and Westley.
Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Carlton Jr.; brothers, Berson Billeaudeau and Phill Billeaudeau; and sister, Theresa Hallmark.
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Forest Oaks Funeral Home, in Jasper, TX, with Carlton’s life honoring funeral service to follow.
