Tommie Gene Partin

Tommie Gene Partin, age 55 passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Monday July 3, 2017.

He was born to George Ernest Partin and Erma Grace Roberts Green on December 18, 1961 in Kirbyville, Texas. He grew up in the Newton area.

Tommie worked in the construction industry since 1985. He was very well known in the lakes area as a dependable and hard-working “workaholic”. He used his skills of hanging sheet rock in many places around the lakes area, including Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas. He served in the Navy and was honorable discharged in 1980. Riding in his jeep, listening to old country music was a hobby Tommie really enjoyed. He would drive down those dirt roads while his four wheels took him on many adventures. He was a gun collector and loved to hunt and fish. One could catch him on the Sabine river passing the time away.  His only daughter, Lacey, was the sunshine of his eye. His favorite nick names for her were “Baby Girl” or “Lacey Boo”. Tommie will be greatly missed but his legacy of love will continue on.

Left to honor his memory is his daughter, Lacey Michelle Partin of Newton, TX; Step daughter, Stephanie Nicole Clanton of Dayton, TX; Step son Casey Lacaz of Newton, TX;  brothers, George Ennis Partin and wife, Eddie of Jasper, TX,  Lavon Green and wife, Theresa of Silsbee, TX; and sister, Barbara Bell of Silsbee, TX.

Preceding Tommie in death are his Mother, Erma Grace Roberts Green; Father, George Ernest Partin; Brothers, Ernest Wayne Partin and Paul Lister Partin.

Visitation with family and friends will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday July 6, 2017 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 601 W. Gibson St., Jasper, TX 75951.  Tommie’s life honoring service will be 10:00 am., Friday July 7, 2017 also at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Harry Irwin. Internment Trout Creek Cemetery in Kirbyville, TX.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Dougherty, Roger Louiver, John Wright, Charlie Robertson, Juan Gonzales, and Russell Partin. Honorary Pallbearers Kenneth Henderson and Big Juan Gonzales.
