Rayna Nicole O'Banion

Rayna Nicole O’Banion, age 47, passed away on February 18, 2019. She was born in Lafayette, LA on November 30, 1971 to Patricia Ann O’Banion and Jasper James Brown.

Rayna possessed a kindness that was unheard of. She had a big heart and it was easily seen, especially by her children. She could never stay mad at anyone for a long period of time; grounding Sean for a week usually meant a couple of hours. She always found a way to make ends meet and would always put her children’s needs above her own. Zoe remembers her mother as her best friend and views her compassion as a memorial to her life. While battling with her illness, Rayna expressed to her children and friends that her passing from this life is an opportunity for celebration and not sadness. A time of rejoicing and not grief.

Left to honor her memory is her sons, Triston O’Banion, Sean O’Banion, Gabriel O’Banion, Seth O’Banion; daughter, Zoe O’Banion; brothers, Michael Shawn Brown and wife, Iveth, Joshua Adam Brown; sisters, Tyiree Seaman and husband, Roland, Miranda Stroderd and husband, Eric; granddaughter, Evelyn Nicole Lee Rosas.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Patricia Ann O’Banion and Jasper James Brown.

A visitation will be held for family and friends at the Forest Oaks Funeral Home Chapel located at 601 W. Gibson St. Jasper, TX 75951 on Saturday February 23, 2019 from 12 to 2 pm followed by a life honoring service beginning at 2 pm.
