Margaret Davenport Obituary

Margaret Elaine Davenport, 59, of Lufkin, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2018. Margaret was born to Vernon and Kathleen Davenport on August 8,1958 in Livingston, Texas.

Margaret worked for Morgan Oil over 17 years as a Truck Stop Manager. She loved dogs, especially Trouble, who she is playing with now in Heaven. Margaret always put others before herself, she loved to dance, listen to music, fishing, camping with Air, and traveling with friends and family. She also loved to gamble, there was no place like Sams Town.  She will be truly missed. We love you our angel.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Kathleen Davenport, two brothers, two sisters, and two nephews.

She is survived by her brother, J.D. Crouch, Jr. of Lufkin, Texas; sister Doris Spinks of Newton, Texas; adopted sisters Mary Tyger of Lufkin, Texas and Kathy Smith of Newton, Texas. Niece Tammy Frith and Rodney Price of Nacogdoches, Texas. Nephews Amos Fredregill and wife Mae of Lufkin, Texas and Kent Oates and wife Tammy, of Houston, Texas. Great Nephews Chris Fredregill of Las Vegas, Nevada; Jacob Fredregill and wife, Chelsie of Beaumont, Texas; Johnathan Fredregill of Lufkin, Texas. Great -Great Nephew Joseph Jenks of Las Vegas, Nevada. Aunt Shirley Bullock of Milano, Texas. God Daughter Rebecca Boles and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Life Honoring Services for Margaret will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Huntington, Texas. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
