Linda Hare Obituary

Linda M. Hare

1950 - 2019

Linda M. Hare, age 69, passed away on December 10, 2019. She was born on August 6, 1950 in Silsbee, TX to James George and Hazel Maxine Moore Hare.

Linda was a one of a kind woman who was known for her free spirit and spitfire personality. She had a passion for Harley Davidsons and loved to ride them whenever the opportunity arose. Linda was hell on wheels when she was well. She loved eagles and felt as though they represented her spirit. It rings true, as Linda undoubtably imitated strength, grace, beauty and courage. She had a way with people, and was best friends with everyone. She had a great appreciation for custom blades and knives. Her life was full of color, not excluding her choice of language which was quite versatile. Linda was a “wild turkey lady,” and loved her some steak. She liked to eat them, “just not mooing.” Although she struggled with arthritis for much of her life, she never let it get her down or hold her back. Linda was a combination of everything a person could be made up of- the good, the bad, the ugly, but mostly, easy to love. Every part of her will be missed dearly and remembered fondly.

Left to honor her memory are her sisters, Mary Margaret Hare Lowe and husband, James, of Milam, TX, Vivian Annette Hare Cooper and husband, Mel, of Buna, TX, and Georgia Denise Hare of Evadale, TX; daughters, Jessika Maxine Denise Cooper Smith, and husband, Joshua, of Meeker, TX and Mary Jaquelyn Annette Cooper Custer and husband, Brandon, of Port Neches, TX; son, Luther Justin Cooper and wife, Brittany, of Beaumont, TX; nieces and nephews, Karen Yonts of Lufkin, TX, Sharon Yonts, of Milam, TX, Jamie Clark and husband, Vince, of Milam, TX, Kenneth Lowe and wife, Leslie, of Crystal Beach, TX, James Junior Lowe Jr. and wife, Angie, of Milam, TX, Vanessa Elliott and husband, William, of Milam, TX, and Mac Keith Lowe and wife, Shannon, of Milam, TX; the love of her life, Jack Kennedy, of Silsbee, TX; close friend, John Ogea; and nephew by love, Bear; 22 grandnieces and nephews; 11 great grandnieces and nephews; and a host of extended family, loved ones and dear friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Lea Kassidy Hare.
