John M. Hollingsworth, 90, of Jasper died on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
He was born to Myrtle Lunsford Hollingsworth and Clarke Hollingsworth on June 6, 1927. He was a graduate of Jasper High School and SMU. Mr. Hollingsworth owned and operated the original Farmers Insurance Agency on Main Street in Jasper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harold D. Hollingsworth, and his daughter Lisa Hollingsworth Wilson. He is survived by his wife Carol Henson Hollingsworth, whom he married in 1948; his son John Clarke Hollingsworth; his granddaughter Macy Wilson; and his great-granddaughter Annalise Wilson.
A memorial service will be held at the Jasper Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
