James Darrin Billingsley, age 48, passed away Thursday August 17, 2017. He was born to William Foster Billingsley Sr. and Sandra Colleen McCroskey on November 2, 1968 in Jasper, Texas.
Darrin was a heavy equipment operator for Herrin Logging Co. He was known as a "gear head". There was nothing that Darrin could not take apart and learn everything about. Once he liked something, he liked to learn everything about it. He was into "rat rods" and enjoyed working on motors. In his younger days, Darrin liked to hunt and go mudding. Darrin was quick witted and enjoyed people. He was a teaser. His huge personality would take over the room. His grandchildren made him proud. Darrin was one to give to others before himself. Darrin will be greatly missed by all who loved him but his legacy will continue with his children and grandchildren.
