HERMAN J BURNS

Herman J Burns, Sr. of Jasper died Tuesday April 5, 2016 at a local nursing home. He was born May 13, 1936 in Hemphill, TX and was 79 years of age. He was a member of The Assembly of God Church. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. He is survived by his daughter Letha Ruiz of Groves, TX, son Herman J Burns, Jr. of Trout Creek, TX, twin-sister Laura Fay Lewis of Jasper, brothers Lonnie B Burns of Jasper, Glenn Burns and his wife Marsha of Kountze, TX and Gene Tony Burns and his wife Leta of Lumberton, grandson Chance Bartley Davis and his wife Shannon of Nederland, granddaughter Jasmine Cheyenne Fowler and her husband Michael of Nederland, grandson Benjamin Ranson Prieto of El Paso, TX, granddaughter Marissa Burns of Avon, Colorado, six great grandchildren and close friend Griselda Mae Bussey. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Louisa Burns and brother ElRay Burns.
