Alice Rae (McNeil) Dotson

Ms. Alice Dotson passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the age of 91. Alice was born on April 22, 1927 to Thomas and Bessie McNeil in Silsbee, Texas.

Alice was a devoted wife to the late Harold Dean Dotson, a talented seamstress and a wonderful cook. She loved and doted on all her children and grandchildren, and cherished her family. Alice had a love of reading, music, and even tap danced in her younger years. She loved to travel and appreciated all of God’s landscapes. While living in Jasper she attended First Baptist Church before moving to Melissa, Texas, four and a half years ago.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Baker and husband Mike, Dianne Mire and husband David; her son, David Dotson and wife Sara; her grandchildren, Christi Maddox, Jason Baker, Cambria Alford, and Chase Dotson; her great grandchildren, Trevor Maddox, Kobe Maddox, and Oaklynn Mae Dotson; and many nieces and nephews, and treasured friends.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Oaks Chapel. A life honoring graveside service will follow at West Oaks Cemetery in Jasper, Texas.
