Vernon Ragin Bohler

Vernon Ragin Bohler, 71, of Kirbyville, passed away Wednesday April 19, 2017. He was born December 13, 1945 in Silsbee, TX. He was a self-employed businessman. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He liked to work his land and tend to his cows. He loved his family and he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Bohler; mother, Bernice Williams; son, Vernon "Shorty" Bohler; and brother Butch Bohler.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Brenda Bohler of Kirbyville; children, John "Steve" Bohler and wife, Lisa of Trout Creek, and Rhonda Folsom and husband, Kevin of Goodrich; grandchildren, Stacy Marshall and husband, Walter, Kerrie Demsey, Sammy Bohler and fiancAC., Ashton Frisco, Tony Bohler, Shelby West and husband, Joseph, Tyler Mays and wife, Delilah, and Morgan Bronson and husband Zackery; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Ramsey, Alexandria, Tiffany, Steven, Virginia, Andrea, Lilliana, Stella, Wesley, Vernon, Alexander, Isabella, Rebecca, Bailey, Bradlie, Hunter, and Luna; siblings, Carolin Chambliss and husband, Charles Wayne, J. C. Bohler, Ray McKenzie, Kay Smith, Ronny Wright, Billy Bob Wright, and Vicky; and his dogs, Lady and Bandit.

His family will receive friends at Forest Oaks Funeral Home on Friday April 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 22, 2017 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Randy Fultz. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Jasper.
