Nancy Louise Pace

Nancy Louise Pace, age 82, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. She was born to Robert Lyles and Lillian Reader Lyles on January 22, 1935 in San Antonio, TX.

Nancy was a telephone operator for GTE. During her life, she and her husband traveled all over the world for his career. Since she was in the communication field, she was able to find employment in exciting locations such as Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Aruba, Africa, and Japan. Nancy loved to work. While at GTE, Nancy was the Union Steward. Family meant the world to Nancy, she loved her children and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  They were such a joy to her. Her family considered her the matriarch. Nancy will be greatly missed by all who loved her but her legacy will continue.

Left to honor her memory is her son, Virgil Nolan Hill Jr of Woodville, TX; daughters, Candance Dodson and husband, L.C. of Wylie, TX, Tamara Hill of Jasper, TX; daughter in law, Cindy McCoy and husband, Mike, of Newton, TX; grandchildren, Zack Cartwright of Dickinson, TX, Nolan Hill III and wife, Jennifer of Jasper, TX, Melinda Dodson and husband Chris of Dickinson, TX, Nathaniel Nolan Hill of Woodville, TX, Randall Hill of Mt. Selman, TX, Rhett Hensley and partner, Chad of San Marcos, TX, and Callie Dodson of Wylie, TX; five great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

Preceding Nancy in death are her parents; husband, Raymond Pace; and son, Danny Hill.
