Mr. Albert James Brown passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at his residence in Toledo Village, Texas, at the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 6 days.
Born December 25, 1937, in Tatum, Texas, to parents Willis and Josie Brown, he had enjoyed living at Toledo Village for the past several years. Mr. Brown was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing and outdoors and loved trucks, having spent most of his life working as a truck driver.
His survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gladys Wills Brown of Toledo Village, Texas; four children, Kathy Brown and Gary Dial of Tyler, Texas, Cindy Brown Blood and Ralph Blood of Lone Pine, Louisiana, Lisa Brown Wheeler and Marty Wheeler of Lucedale, Mississippi, and Bryan Brown and Dawn Brown of Channelview, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Sikora, Jeremy Dial, Phillip Blood, Kent Myers, Brandon Blood, Hollie Blood Marcantel, Kyna Jenkins Schadler, Jacob Jenkins, Jaron Jenkins, Rachel Brown, and Beth Brown Isbell; 22 great-grandchildren; five brothers; and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Toledo Baptist Church, located at 9339 Hwy. 255 in Toledo Village, with Pastor Cliff Schadler officiating.
